Forget the Llyod center or mall 205 in Portland. That's the mall you wanna
go and it's just a few miles away from Portland. You'll find almost everything you want here. It's a modern building and the
facilites are very clean and net. The next mall which can be compared to it is probalby found in Seattle....

This is not only one a major windsurfing capital but also a nice place to start adventure trips
such as white river rafting, hiking, skiing and mountain biking. It is located right next to the majestic Columbia River and
nearby the Mount Hood (3.400 m). Hood River lies on a slope towards the River. It name derives from the River itself which
is located to the North. The stronges economical factor besides tourism is lumber and fruit orchard (mostly apple). I lived
here from August 1st, 1989 to June 1990. |

HOT SPRINGS! Carson Mineral Hot Springs Resort

Description:
We (a male and a female friend) came over here in 1990 for showing me that
nice place. Normally it's a small resort but the hot springs themselves are what we were interested in. After paying a tiny
user fee we hiked up there. It was very beautiful (complete nature!). There was nobody there at that time so we went naked
and took a bath in the very cold ajacent creek. There has been only one hot spring "tub" which fits about 4 persons.
It
was a blast and you really should check it out!

This large Christian festival is held here (Clark County fairgrounds) during
the third weekend in July, from thursday through saturday. In 2004, 29,000 people attended the festival. Famous Christian
music groups and preachers perform here. A camping site is located within the premises.
