Terry D. Scott, B.Sc. is the current - 10th - Master Chief Petty Officer (SS/AW) of the Navy (MCPON) and a senior enlisted person in the United States Navy.

Scott was born in Buffalo, Missouri. Before his Navy time, he lived in Louisburg, Kansas. He joined the Navy in December 1976. He has served on several ships almost everywhere in the world.

Effective, 2002-04-22, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral. Vern Clark Scott selected him as MCPON (SS/AW) to succeed MCPON (SS/SW/AW) James L. Herdt.

He has been awarded with the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (five), Navy Achievement Medal (four) and various service and campaign awards.
